Services Our synagogue holds Shabbat services every Friday evening at 7:30 PM and on the third Shabbat morning of each month at 10:00 AM (Torah study meets before services that morning at 9:00 AM). We also observe most Jewish holidays with prayer services in the synagogue. The first Friday evening of each month during the school year is Shabbat Dinner / Service: dinner and "Tot Shabbat" begins at 6:30 PM. Those attending bring and share a potluck dairy or vegetarian dish. Dinner is followed by a celebration of the coming of the Sabbath with a special abbreviated service. Everyone is welcome! Owing to the diverse religious backgrounds of our congregants, we vary the nature of the services to incorporate traditional and contemporary music, liturgy and English readings. At times, the services incorporate discussions of Jewish current events, music, prose and poetry readings, guest speakers and special programs in place of sermons. Once a month, we hold a Havdalah service followed by an evening program. The theme of that program alternates each month between family and adult interests.
