Services

Our synagogue holds Shabbat services every Friday
evening at 8:00 p.m. (except the first Friday of each month) and on the first Shabbat morning
of each month at 10:00 a.m. We also observe all Jewish holidays with prayer services in the synagogue.
The first Friday evening of each month during
the school year is Shabbat Dinner / Service beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Those attending bring and share a potluck dairy or vegetarian dish. Dinner
is followed by a celebration of the coming of the Sabbath with a special
abbreviated service.
Owing to the diverse religious backgrounds of
our congregants, we vary the nature of the services to incorporate traditional
and contemporary music, liturgy and English readings. At times, the services
incorporate discussions of Jewish current events, music, prose and poetry
readings, guest speakers and special programs in place of sermons.
Once a month, we hold a Havdalah service
followed by an evening program. The theme of that program alternates each month
between family and adult interests.
